Back to School Drive
August 2012
There’s something to be said about the feeling of showing up at school on the first day with a new, clean backpack, fresh school supplies, and a feeling of pride and enthusiasm about the year ahead. Cause We Care Foundation works to ensure that children living in poverty in our community experience that feeling, too. Each year, we collect donations for new backpacks and school supplies and distribute them to front-line organizations that get them to kids in need. This year will mark our fifth annual backpack drive. Each backpack we supply is filled with the following:
1 package lined paper
1 package coloured pencil crayons
1 package regular pencils
1 pencil sharpener
1 pencil case
1 pair of scissors
1 12” ruler (cm and inches)
1 package non-permanent coloured markers
1 large glue stick
